Green Mountain Marathon

October 17th, began with a beautiful sunrise over the mountains looking east of North Hero Vermont, across Lake Champlain.
The Green Mountain Marathon is a small marathon (about 300 runners) in the Champlain Islands of Vermont. Most of the course is along West Shore Road which is bordered by the lake, farms, orchards, and beautiful foliage. Amazing setting for a marathon.

Here's Patrick around mile 4, seeing the homemade signs and getting some family encouragement for the first time. Around mile 14 going in for the high-fives...still feeling great.
One group of supporters: Braden, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Peter, Tegan, and Finn.
Braden enjoying the race from his warm seat.
Cheering on at the finish.
Jamie K. with a solid finish - Nice run!
Almost there....3:58:01
Finn approves of daddy's first marathon.
Tegan loves the finisher's medal, and strikes a pose...
Modeling the signs made by Emma, Jack, Nana, and Maureen. Finally relaxing with family...
...and still more family.
