Cristin and Aunt Colleen's homemade birthday cakes over the years...

We started with a Duck cake for Tegan's 1st...

Aunt Colleen created Tegan's 2nd...
Finnegan had Pooh Bear for his 1st...
And Tegan had Dora for her 3rd...
Finn got a Nemo cake for his 2nd...
Cristin made Tegan's Ariel cake for her 4th...
In August this year, Finn got the Firetruck cake he wanted for his 3rd...
Tegan wanted a Butterfly for her 5th...
Finally, with the extra cake and frosting from that butterfly cake, Tegan and Finn decorated their own cake for fun...

Yuuummmm!

The party for #5

Tegan had a PJ party for her 5th birthday - all the girls wore their jammies, got their toenails painted, applied tattoos, painted pillowcases, and then had breakfast for dinner. The girls who came were Emma, Ella, Madison, Grace, Carrie, and Anna. And she allowed Finn to be there too, though at first she said, No Boys! Finn refused to wear jammies, donning his more manly football jersey for the event instead (which was good, because after the party, Tegan, Emma, Finn, Cristin, Patrick, and Aunt Mofie played a crazy game of football in the field...it was kind of like a mix of tag and football, but it was a blast). The party was so much fun, Tegan was happy the whole time and all the girls (and Finn) got along really well. By the way, those are Finnegan's beautiful feet!

Updates from the Fall

We went hiking in Plainfield to see some early fall color...

Tegan took that picture above! You can almost see the baby in the belly! And then we picked a bushel of Macintosh apples in Randolph...

...and we ran into Tegan's friend Ella at the orchard!
Both mommy's have a baby in their belly!

Breakfast table, this morning.

Daddy says “Look, guys, Jack Frost came last night!" while pointing out the window to the whitened grass.

Tegan & Finn look outside with wonder.

Finn says, “Who’s Jack Frost?”

Tegan says, “Like your hair, daddy.”

Ouch.

connection-less (for now)

When the Internet finds it's way back to Center Rd and Bliss, we'll be back online with updates and pictures! Until then, please just call for updates... Oh, but don't call either of our cell phones because those don't work at Center Rd and Bliss either!

Loving the country life. No really. We love it.

Quickly:
Tegan is a dancing queen (princess, really). She puts on self-written plays for us and has really begun making up great dance routines. Maybe she's telling us she wants to take dance lessons?? And she couldn't be happier coloring a brand new Tegan original picture. She is a true artist.

Finn is all about playing outside (now that we have grass!). Soccer, baseball, bikes, lacrosse, landscaping. We have to literally drag him in for dinner. He is a true athlete. Actually Tegan has quite a mean baseball swing...she almost took my head off with a line drive up the middle last night!

And now that spring has sprung, The Parents are enjoying prioritizing the projects we have on our famous Homework List. Never bored. Usually challenged. Quite happy with all of it.

Happy anniversary Nana & Papa!

Peace.
